Taralli Pugliesi are ring-shaped boiled and baked crackers that are nowadays reckoned as the distinctive and typical bakery product of Southern Italy cooking tradition. The dough is made from a mixture of local bread wheat flour, Locorotondo white wine and extra virgin olive oil. Taralli Pugliesi are rather small and irresistibly crunchy and they are particularly suitable as tasty snack as well as traditional accompanying appetizer for Apulian “aperitivo” or wine tasting.
